Promovax Project end
April - May 2013:
National workshops are being organized in all partner countries with the participation of stakeholders, policy makers, migrant representatives, and NGOs providing migrant care. The workshops focus on the presentation of the main project outputs and the active exchange of ideas for their further development with national stakeholders.

4th EUPHA Conference on Migrant Health and Ethnic Minority in Europe
University of Pécs Medical School will give two presentations. One on "2nd phase of the PROMOVAX Project: Development of 'Best Practice Evaluation Tool for Migrant Vaccination' and its' utilization" and another one on "Recommendation of the PROMOVAX Consortium on Migrant Vaccination". This work has been carried on within the framework of the DG SANCO Promovax Project.

4th EUPHA Conference on Migrant Health and Ethnic Minority in Europe
ISS will have a poster presentation on "Barriers to Health Care Services Among Migrants in Italy and Grass-Root Access-Enabling Initiatives". This survey has been carried on within the framework of the DGSANCO Promovax Project.

4th Partners Meeting
The 4th Partners meeting of the PROMOVAX Project was held in Athens, Greece, with the participation of all associated partners as well as invited experts. The aim of the meeting was to present the "Index of Best Practices & Recommendations on Migrant Immunizations" and discuss the development of toolkits for health professionals and migrants.

2nd National Conference of the Forum of Public Health and Social Medicine,

An oral presentation of the PROMOVAX project was presented by Dr. Eleni Patrozou at the 2nd National Conference of the Forum of Public Health and Social Medicine, which took place in Larissa, Greece. The aims of this conference included not only the thorough analysis of Public Health problems and the exchange of views and experiences among scientists from different fields, but also the cooperation of all forces and bodies in Greece, in order to promote Public Health.

A series of speeches concerning infections was held as part of the educational activities of the Alpha Institute of Biomedical. Among the speeches on different issues related to infections, Dr. Eleni Patrozou talked about migrant infections in Greece and presented the PROMOVAX Project.

"Good practices in the sectors of Health, Welfare and Social Security", Athens, Greece
The Promovax project and its first results were presented during the Pan-European Conference on the Integration of Immigrants "Good practices in the sectors of Health, Welfare and Social Security" by Dr. Eleni Patrozou (Prolepsis) and Dr. Costas Christophi (CII-CUT), who were among the invited speakers.

The PROMOVAX Project was presented during the 3rd International Congress On Rural Health In Mediterranean And Balkan Countries, which was held in Tirana, Albania on 22-25 September 2010. PROMOVAX was presented on Thursday, 23 September 2010, during the 2nd parallel session: Migration and Health.

ECDC workshop
PROMOVAX Project representatives were invited to attend the ECDC workshop in Sophia on 21-22 September and give an update on the project´s progress. The overall aim of the workshop is to promote regional collaboration for activities in the field of immunization among marginalized and hard to reach populations at high risk.

PROMOVAX was promoted by oral presentation, poster and leaflets in the conference "Days of Occupational Medicine", organized in Rzeszow/Czarna, Poland, under agenda of the Polish Association of Occupational Medicine.

The PROMOVAX kick-off meeting was held in Luxembourg on the 10th and 11th of June 2010 with the participation of EAHC´s representatives as well as all the associated partners of the project.

Launching of PROMOVAX Project
Prolepsis Institute has launched the new project titled «Promote Vaccinations among Migrant Populations in Europe - PROMOVAX». This is a 3-year project that officially started on the 22nd of May 2010 and is co-funded by the European Commission - Directorate of Health and Consumers.
